I've known him for years. I keep trying to figure out when I started to like him. A part of me feels guilty because I wonder if I'd always had feelings for him but I was just really good at supressing them due to the circumstances of having a boyfriend? Or had my thoughts of "Wow, what a great friend!" had just all of a sudden changed to "Wow, what an amazing friend that I have feelings for!"? Or what if I was just feeling lonely, thus putting an illusion on him? I'd like to think it's definetely not the third option. 1. Because I am not really a "rebounder". It never really has been my style and 2. Because the whole "single girl" thing was and still is actually thrilling for me. Either way, It's a strange feeling. If I had to compare it in food terminology (because food is one of my most favorite things in the world) It would go a little like this:
McDonalds french fries... Salty, crunchy (or chewy, depending on how they cook them) goodness!! They help cure the common hangover, and are good for days when all you want is to have an overload on carbs!
Wendy's chocolate malt... Chocolatey, thick goodness that melts in your mouth!! YUM!! My mouth is watering right now. Good for the hot summer days, and also just good for when you're day is about to hit a low and you need a "pick me up".
Both VERY good treats on their own, right? !A M A Z I N G!
But let's say for some reason, you just decide to take two things, equally good on their own and put them together? You're taking a chance with ruining two amazing snacks! What if chocolate fries are disgusting... Oh, but what if it's SOOO GOOOD!?!?
Ya, that's what I'm feeling right now. And no, its not hunger than I'm feeling! Although.. ya maybe I am a little hungry now ;)
This post will have to be continued later because I just realized what time it is, so I am putting myself on a "no more blogging until I get my studying done" order.

Yeah, the summer salads and fresh fruit smoothies are fantastic during the summer. But for some reason, around the end of the summer, I lose my appetite for anything other than soups and slow cooked meals. But for the most part, it's usually too hot outside to really enjoy these warm meals. So I absolutely love it when the temperature starts to drop a little and the soup and chili dinners become a usual in the household. I also enjoy a good BBQ but what's the point of it if you can't sit outside and enjoy the weather during the hot, hot summer days??
Not only does the taste of these foods satifsy my cravings, but the smells that linger throughout the household are soothing to me as well. I love smelling the ingredients travel from the crockpot to the four corners of the house. I don't know why, but it just gives me this feeling of serenity.
I also start to get excited for THANKSGIVING. My favorite fall meal of all time!! Not only because I get to eat and watch my boys (Reason for Loving Fall #1) play some ball, but because I love everything my mom, aunts, and grandma make in the kitchen.
Now some of you know that I'm not the greatest cook in the world, and even fewer may know that I really could care less about knowing how to cook. But lately, I've been spending my free time (what little time I DO have) with someone that does enjoy cooking. The fact that we are both contributing to our dinner has made it much more appealing and fun. I've actually come home on nights that I don't have class until 10 pm to make something just to get some extra practice in. We have made some pretty good meals so far. I'd have to say that when we venture away from the recipe and start to do our own thing, the meal tends to be even better than we expected. I will have to start blogging what meals we make with our recipe "edits".

Soooo my new obsession (for today anyways) is this article on food network. I'm not normally a fan of this type of food. Mostly because I know how they are made. But tis the season to have a nice, juicy HOT DAWG!!
This article displays 30 ways to top a hot dog. And I want to try almost all of them!!
Due to my other recent obsession of making a lengthy bucket list (and dispersing them into seasonal lists), I've decided to add this to my "sand-bucket list"
"30 DaYS oF DoGS"
My goal is to eat a hot dog (well, lets be honest. I'll probably eat a tofu dog) with all 30 of these toppings. I'll let you know which one wins the award! =)
Which one will I try first? I'm going to start off simple. Probably go with the Chicago or New York. New york definetly sounds good right now. I haven't had sauerkraut in quite a while.
